Trust yourself

'Trust yourself' is a celebration of the beauty that emerges when the mind steps aside, allowing the process itself to take center stage. Trust the process and allow the composition of the painting to unfold without overthinking form. The result is an abstract floral composition with layers upon layers of thick brushstrokes in a variety of warm and muted tones.  The flowers are loosely defined with soft, rounded petals, blending shades of cream, pink, lilac, and yellow. The background and surroundings of the flowers contain earthy browns, oranges, and muted blues, creating a textural, almost collage-like effect. The use of impasto technique, gives the painting depth and a tactile quality.
